Convivial society survival
There are two ranges in the growth of tools: the range machine extend human capability and the range machine eliminate or replace human functions.
Survival, then, depends on establishing procedures that help ordinary people recognize these ranges and to opt for survival in freedom. The procedures must help them evaluate the tools and institutions and permit them to exclude destructive tools and control the useful ones.
