Gall-based speculative world needs more radical paradigms

My first try to design the social and economic system for Gall-based speculative world. I tried using Actor-Network Theory to map out all the actors and relationship that I can think of.

This world turn out to be just like the industrialized present, where gall technology and production replace some parts of the old production paradigm. Gall becomes biofabrication technology within the same old system.

Why did I design the world this way? Not because I wanted to, but because my mind is so fixated on the current system that I cannot think of any alternatives. Here's where I really struggle. I try to make this world believable by incrementally extrapolating from the present so it's not entirely fantasy. But it just feels like more of the same. It doesn't invite me (or others) to think about anything.

But whenever I try to think of a more radical scenario, I either cannot come up with one, or I don't believe in that world myself. The only world that feels realistic and believable to me is the present one, which is quite sad when I think about it.

I think this speculative world needs to be more radical and explore more possibilities. It should not just be a copy of the current world, but something altogether new that provokes us to imagine possibilities beyond the present.

I don't think I can do that as of now. I think I need to familiarize myself with alternative worldviews and alternative ways of organizing society. This led me down the path of exploring Alternative modes of production.

If you have any book or topic recommendations that you think I should explore, please leave them in the comments. I hope to come back with more possible worlds in my head.
